Internet

Shit Man!!!

Never knew it would be such a big addiction to come online especially on gtalk..  I got a chance to come to the hostel today and just threw my stuff aside to come online.. Though I really have nothing to do apart from checking my mailbox for the heck of it but cant help it.. n now for the next one month I would again have no access to any mails again :(..
One thing is for good.. I am getting rid of all my addicitons/attachments whatsoever..  so in a way good for me as work keeps me really occupied and focused atleast for the time being.. but still..

Cheers!!

Random..

Its been quite some time I have posted anything.. Getting so damn bored that thought of spending some time here..  Infact to such an extent that I just went for a stroll alone..  thought of visiting d eskon temple in between (less than half a km from d hostel).. but it was so crowded that will never go again on a sunday. After that I treated myself with an icecream :) (naturals).. so tried a new flavour(mango).  Treat for successfully completing one week of internship ;)For those who donno naturals, it is famous for its fresh fruit ice creams so no point having a regular chocolate out thr.. I must say its time that people in India should change.. Had always heard that in Mumbai you can walk alone on d streets.. no one will even look at you.. but I am so sorry to say that its completely Rubbish!!!..

Anyways coming back.. this last one and a half month has been quite good.. I spent quality time at home.. was there for more than 40 days.. (courtesy: My internship started so late).. and now the past one week has been truly amazing and rewarding..  I dont think I had so much fun being in office before.. here the project is very challenging.. have to put in a lot of effort to make head n tail out of it.. the culture of the organization is soo good..  people on my floor are simply awesome.. I just hope I am able to do full justice to my work for the coming seven weeks.. side by side enjoy every moment of being there :)

Cheers!!!

Day 2

It was an amazing day. Started off with a salsa workshop in the morning which was really good. Then began hunting for people to sit for commonomics, the economics event where an economics term was given and you had to relate it to any thing happening on the college campus. For example- supply and demand, consumer surplus etc. People came up with creative writeups which were very good to read. The day went on with loads of other informal events. I took part in antakshari, but got eliminated in round 1 due to heavy cartels :(. It was sort of a 30 ques quiz which had to be answered. The solo and duet singing competitions took place simultaneously. The much awaited was the all naachos competition where people in groups gave extraordinary performances leaving the whole college spellbound. In between all the fun, the second trim results also came out which were :).  A lot of other events also took place like 30 sec fame, pucca bania etc which were organized by the various cells which suddenly sprang up after sleeping for long for Euphoria!!

Then we waited for a while before the pro nite started. Rock Band Antaragini with Rahul Dixit and Indigo children had come for the pro nite. Frankly speaking I could not enjoy the band very much due to my lack of knowledge of the same. I was continuously missing my graduation days where awesome bands like Jal, strings, Parakrama etc used to come. But they were good and needless to say public from outside had come to hear them. Overall the day ended on a good note :).

.......................................................

Attachment, patience, love are words of passe. Gone are the days when people used to stay in ancestral homes, spending all their lives at one place. Today we cannot afford to have such luxuries. We need to adjust with the changing times. Attachment with one place is of no use. People keep buying and selling property, living in one house for some years and then moving ahead as per the needs. I can see this happening in my hometown. People are moving in new apartments every other day. There is just no big deal in it. Life goes on!!!!!!

All Thieves

Euphoria, the cultural fest of NMIMS began today with an amazing play by Naseeruddin Shah's group. The play was divided into two parts: the first half was in english and the other in hindi.

The first part was divided into 4 subparts. The actors were simply awesome, the hall was brimming with people. Incidentally it turned out that 2 of the seven actors were Naseeruddin's chlildren. And one was a part of slumdog's cast. They all were brilliant.

One act was about a girl who meets this random guy in the market place. Everytime he stared at her, so she was forced to ask the reason for the same. The guy told him that her shoe laces were open. It kept on happening again and again. One fine day the guy asked that how would she teach her children is she doesn know how to tie them. The girl replied that her children would learn how to tie laces from others :). The guy asked her to imagine a situation where the whole human race becomes extinct leaving her and the children behind. In that case all the future generations would never learn how to tie show laces :).

One act was about a country which works on the forces of robbery. There was a group of houses in a circle. Every night all the people leave their houses with a sack and rob the house next to their's. This cycle would follow till the last one robbed the first house. Thus all men of that country were happy and contented. Once a wise man came to that country, he stayed awake in his house not abiding by the principles followed in the country. Now the one who was supposed to rob his house could not do so, inturn that fellow became empty because someone else robbed his place. The people after 3 days of frustration approached him saying that atleast he should allow them to continue with their chain of robbing houses. He agreed to it and started going for a walk during the night near the sea. So one set of people could rob his home and become rich, at the same time their house would not get robbed. Thus the riches were becoming more and more rich and the poor were becoming more poor. So the riches formed a small body called the "government" whoes role was to extract money out of people and become more rich. A small committee was also formed for the poors which was called as " the police" and "courts".

Another one was about a girl and a boy who met at the when the guy was 18 and the girl was 16. They both thought that both were 100% perfect couple for each other. They decided to test it by leaving it on destiny. The boy moved to the East and the girl to the West. When the guy turned 32 and the girl 30, suddenly they met each other and realized that they were still 100% perfect for each other and stayed happily ever after.

To be continued tomorrow with the Hindi ones...  though I dont think they are seeming to be very interesting. Watching them was real fun.

Joggers Park

I was planning to go to joggers park was quite some time. Finally it happened today. Got up at 5:00 a.m. in the morning and reached the place by 5:30 a.m. The basic reason of going was to attend the laughter club as I had always heard of one but never seen in reality. I was actually shocked to see that the joggers park is really very small, again reflecting Mumbai's space saga. It is made on a reclaimed land on the bandstand. One round was complete in no more than 10 min walking at a leisurely pace.

Then the fun started. At 6:30 I entered the " Laughter Heaven" which was at a stone's throw from the joggers park. It was a small area where about 80 people were standing. There was a sort of a funny divide where in one man was acting as a coach and the ladies were standing on one side and the men on the other side. As soon as I entered one lady just stopped me from going far asking me to stand next to her " ladies here". I also started excercising. I got engrossed, simultaneously I was observing the expressions of the different people and also chuckling a bit within myself looking at their expressions. All of them were in their 40's and above. I was the odd man out.

Now as the coach was directing what to do next, the aunty was delivering special instructions to be side by side. "Ab yeh karo, Ab yeh karo". When she sat for a prayanam exercise, she made me also sit, when she stood up, I was supposed to do the same :). Was actually quite funny the way she was bossing around but she seemed to be enjoying it a lot. I was still waiting for the laughter thing to happen, though I was enjoying myself to the full extent. Oh i forgot to mention, the one acting as the head coach was very particular about maintaing pin drop silence. He pointed out twice towards two ladies who were murmuring something. (Have never witnessed such silence even in the class!!)

The best part was when suddenly all exercises got over and people started chuckling and hitting on each others hand. There all ladies were coming to me, seeming to be very fascinated to know about me. One lady even asked me : "Beta you are in which class !!!!!!!!" Then everyone started acting like a monkey with facial expressions and hand movements of the same. After that all started shaking themeselves. The last exercise to end was swinging in the air like a bird and taking a small round. My so called mentor made it a point that I follow all. She did not let me stand idle even for a single second. I also swang in the air like a bird amongst all the other ladies ;)

Overall It was an amazing experience, People were so amicable. Some told they had been coming here for past 12-13 years. Earlier they used to laugh out loud but had to stop now because of serious protests from youngters residing in a few apartments near by. Neverthless they were enjoying themselves to the hilt and so did I!!!
